A QUESTION!
Have you ever wondered what the Earthwould look like from space? If you were anastronaut, and were looking down fromthe heavens, what would you see?

This is what the Earth looks like fromspace when the sun goes down. Beautifulisn't it? I would do anything to have onechance to see this with my own eyes.

Can you guys spot Singapore?
Surprisingly, city lights make this taskquite possible. Human-made lights highlightparticularly developed or populatedareas such as the U.S. and Japan. The relatively darker regionscover most of the less developed orunpopulated areas such as Africa.

Oh yes, if you didn't know, the image isactually a composite of hundreds of picturesmade by orbitting NASA satellites.
And, i almost forgot!
Here's a video clip i found on youtubeshowing the Earth revolving on its own axisand giving a wonderful light show ;)

AMAZING HUH?
Anyway, here are some morezoomed in photos of the variouscontinents of our planet.

The United States Of America.Apparently, it seems that the eastern seaboardis much more populated than in the west.

Europe. Well, there's really nothingmuch to say but the whole continent'spretty much lighted up! Haha.

Africa. The continent is pretty muchdark because it is largely under-developedwith the exception of South Africa.

South East Asia. Who could forget SEA?Notice Singapore being a bright yellow spark andamazingly, the region around Bangkok too.

AND, SO!
After viewing the wonderful light show, you would probably ask, what does thishave anything to do with Earth Day?

Well, take it this way, these bright lights may dazzlefor all their worth, but the question is, for how long? Aswe humans continue to squander our source of electricity,it won't be long before we deplete our energy source.

So, the message i'm bringing forward today isa simple one, save electricty, don't waste it!
