Iron Chef: Battle Lobster

FOR THE LOVE OF FOOD!

Possessing flair in the culinary arts is
perhaps one of the most respected form of
talent that any one person can possess.

The Culinary Arts

The art of fine cuisine is no mere
child's play, it is taken seriously as an art
form that aims to create magnificent dishes,
tantalizing delicacies and flamboyant cuisines.

Magnificent, Tantalizing, Flamboyant

Let me now introduce you to a venerated
Japanese reality TV cooking show from the
90's that celebrates food in all its glory.

-----------------------------------

WATCH THIS!

Iron Chef was created by FujiTV and hosted by
the eccentric Chairman Kaga on the show, who claims
to be the supreme authority of gourmet cuisine.

Chairman Kaga Of Iron Chef

He was inspired by the culinary arts and
specially constructed the Kitchen Stadium
where chefs from around the world would compete
against chefs from his Gourmet Academy.

The Kitchen Stadium

Four iron chefs lead the institution and
they each specialize in a different kind of cuisine;
Japanese, Chinese, French, and later Italian.

The Iron Chefs

The challenging chefs have one hour to cook
and improvise a multicourse meal around a theme
ingredient that must be present in each dish.

The Iron Chefs Battle!

At the end of the show, each of the chef's creations
are presented a panel of judges who taste the dishes
and award points to the dishes of their liking. The
chef with the greatest score wins the competition.

The Judging Panel

Now, let's start the inaugural entry
to the Iron Chef series with one of my
favourite seafood cuisine, the lobster.

Esteemed chefs, let the battle begin!

Here are the first four parts to this
culinary mêlée where commentators provide
minute-by-minute updates on each chef's
preparation of their respective dishes.

And the highlight of this entry is of course, the
tasting and judging segment of the chefs' creation. Here
you go! Please don't salivate! Thank you very much!

AND, SO!

To end this entry, let me leave you with a
quote that perfectly describes this show.

"Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you what you are."
