A HERO'S TRIBUTE!
I have been a fan of Meerkat Manor fora very long time now. If you don't know, itis an animal documentary that has beenairing on Animal Planet since 2005.
The documentary revolves around the livesof the Whiskers, one of over a dozen familiesof meerkats living in the Kalahari Desert.
Among all the meerkats, one of them stood out.She was Flower, a larger than life meerkat, whostood tall as a leader against her foes and was thepillar of strength as a mother to her family.
Last year, while filming the series, Flower wasfatally taken down by a cobra while defendingher young. In was a tragic loss and i wascertainly affected by the incident.
This is a video tribute to the ever-courageousFlower of Meerkat Manor. Her family will neverforget a great leader and a wonderful mother, andneither will the humans who loved her very much.
