Gone To The Birds

Remember watching Monsters, Inc.
back in 2001? Yea, it was one of the best
animated shows in theatres that year.

Monsters, Inc.

Well, the fourth computer animated movie by
Pixar went on to win at the Academy Awards
among a slew of highly positive reviews from critics.

----------------------------------------

Anyway, today's entry isn't about the
movie itself, rather, it's about an unlikely
production that was attached to it.

Well, if you already know, yes, it's the
short film, titled "For The Birds"

For The Birds

Just like Monsters, Inc., the
short film received rave reviews and also
won big at the Academy Awards!

----------------------------------------

WATCH IT!

OH! Did you know, the first four birds from
the left have their own names? They are
Chipper, Bully, Snob and Neurotic.

The Neverending Story

TODAY, i'm going to share with you a magical tale,
a story of boundless imaginations and fantasism;
this is THE NEVERENDING STORY.

The Neverending Story

The Neverending Story is an acclaimed fantasy
novel written by Michael Ende, first published in
Germany in 1979. It is one of my favourite books
and i remember reading it when i was just weenie lad.

As a boy i've always been enthralled by the mythical
adventures of wizards and dragons and this novel
has sort of been my childhood bible and when
the movie for this novel was released, i tell you,
i seriously almost died and gone to heaven.

-------------------------------------------------

COME WATCH!

This is the music video of the song,
Neverending Story, based on the title
of the movie, sung by Likahl and has
some scenes from the movie itself.

If you ever have time, do go and watch all
three parts of the movie and better yet,
buy the novels and read them.

Re: I Hate Sick Movies!

Cloverfield, The Mist, Sweetney Todd, I must say, are the few movies that ought to be glamoured with 5 stars rating and global award nominations.

Let's talk about Cloverfield first. So what made this movie a hit?

First was the viral marketing that stirred up curiosity and of course, the participation of the interested parties. By engaging people in the mystery, it created, in layman term, a sense of belonging. People felt that they are part of the movie and they began anticipating...

The marketing plan was a success.

Of course the art direction was good, the animation was realistic, and the actors were amazing.

We felt like we were there.

The movie plot

The multi-billion worth Japanese Corporation was involved in a deep sea drilling project. Apparantly, the supersonic sound that was released during the drilling process affected many sea creatures' operational lives.

The origin of the monster is unknown. Some claim that it already existed in the deep sea, the supersonic sound forced it to surface. Some say they saw something fall in the sea in the last scene where the lead was on the ferris wheel - some claim that it was the fragment of the satellite the Japanese Corporation owned.

It was deduced that the fragment, containing radioactive substance, reacted with a whale and caused the mutation.

Why is it sick?

I was referring to the people in the movie. People, involving themselves in exploitation, and resulting such a devastating outcome of a city.

Are people, not sick at all?

Back to The Mist. Why is it a hit?

Stephen King is an amazing writer, and the actors were superb! The show probes you to think.

The movie plot

King was trying to contrast the "monsters" in the supermarket with the monsters out there.

Why is it sick?

Once again, I was referring to the people in the story. People, in times of survival, are extremely volatile and deadly. (As illustrated in the movie) People were willing to kill (the soldier), and to point fingers (never at themselves).

Are people, not sick?

Sweetney Todd! What makes it a hit?

A beautiful musical. The actors were gold.

The movie plot

A man, crazed, in the thoughts of revenge. Deluded that all people in London, deserves to die.

Why is it sick?

A man who thought,
because of his tragedy,
could kill for justice?

A man, who pities himself,
who thought he was the only sane one,
could kill to save mankind.

A man, who thought he was sane,
was lost in the symphony of revenge and self pity,
he killed his wife
in the fit of anger.

A man,
is that man,

not sick at all?

I Hate Sick Movies!

SO, what did we do again this SATURDAY?

Photobucket

Yet another SICK movie.

I seriously think the movies these few weeks
are seriously sick and depressing like fuck man.

It's such a TURN-OFF!

--------------------------------------------

First came CLOVERFIELD, it was so sick that
Vincent vomited. Sheryl vomited watching it too. Many
people felt nauseous after watching the movie.

HAHA! Haiya ok, it's the camera shooting style lar.

AND OH! Did you know the movie ended with
a soft whisper at the end. It was a voice from
the transmitter saying "Help me."

HOWEVER, hard working Edison went online
and researched. GUESS WHAT? If you were to listen
to "Help me" backwards, you'll hear this...

"IT'S STILL ALIVE."

Fucking sick. Haha, disgusting. That was
what got me thinking about CALAMARI.

---------------------------------------------

Then, came THE MIST. What the fuck lar
that movie. It's fucking sick. So fucking sick
that people just get sick watching it.

The plot was really depressingly human. Hai,
humans are a sick bunch of creatures. TOTALLY.

So please take care and watch out
of the people around you. You never know
when they will kill you just to live.

Yet another fucking SICK show.

---------------------------------------------

And then. And then. And Then.
We have SWEENEY TODD!

Who the fuck kills every customer that enters
his "ESTABLISHMENT" and the lady boss who's
totally in love with the crazy barber, GRIND
DEAD MEAT just to make meat pies.

That was the epitome of sickness when
you see people devouring those meat pies
like they've never had one before!

Ugh, the blood that BURST
out of their SLIT THROATS.

Amazingly beautiful, some said.

I say, "IT'S FUCKING SICK MAN."

---------------------------------------------

Movies nowaday SUCK.
Totally shitty and irresistably SICK.

The Clique is officially setting up the
"I-HATE-SICK-MOVIES" movement.

27 Dresses is the only decent fairytale
so far. DAMN IT MOVIE MAKERS.

Make more fairytales, you SICKOS.

The Cloverfield Story

PROJECT CLOVERFIELD

Cloverfield

is a monster movie produced by J. J. Abrams,
slated for a January 18, 2008 release.

THE SYNOPSIS

"Five young New Yorkers throw their friend
a going-away party the night that a monster the size
of a skyscraper descends upon the city.

Told from the point of view of their video camera,
the film is a document of their attempt to survive the
most surreal, horrifying event of their lives."

------------------------------------------------

Paramount Pictures is carrying out a
VIRAL MARKETING CAMPAIGN
to promote the film.

Viral Marketing refers to marketing techniques that use
pre-existing social networks to produce increases in brand awareness,
through self-replicating viral processes, analogous to the spread
of pathological and computer viruses.

Simply saying, it depends on the
word-of-mouth to deliver a message.

------------------------------------------------

Even barely two weeks before its premiere,
the producers of this movie have been
tight-lipped about this movie.

Incidentally, the producers have relied on a more
covert form of advertisment through stealthy
viral campaigns that keeps the public ever so curious to
sniff out the story behind Cloverfield.

They have released two websites that have totally
no link to the movie at first glance, but after tampering
around with these three websites, you will find clues
that tell the story of Cloverfield.

------------------------------------------------

Here are the 3 websites available.
If you have the time, do try to solve the mystery.

I'm rather dumb at solving mysteries and stuff
and all I've been able to deduce is that the monster
is a whale and it likes seaweed slushies?

Slusho
This website is really damn hilarious. You can mix your own slushies!

1-18-08
It's just a webpage. You can flip the photos around btw.

Tagruato Corp
Some mining company. Has loads of info but I can't find anything. Damnit!

------------------------------------------------

Well, that's all I have to share with everyone today.
Hopefully, if you can find out anything, do tell me! Hohoho!
And yea, i can't wait for the movie to be released.
