Today, hindus from all around the world celebratea very significant festival known as the Festival of Lights,

which marks the victory of good over evil in hindu lore,

and uplifting of spiritual darkness. 

One important practice that the Hindus followduring the festival is to light oil lamps in their homes onDeepavali morning. By lighting the oil lamps, the devoteesare thanking the gods for the happiness, knowledge,peace and wealth that they have received.
So, as Deepavli dawns upon us, let uswish all our hindu friends and readersout there, a Happy Deepavali!

Today, buddhists from all around the world celebratethis very important occasion with great ceremonial ritual,commemorating the birth and enlightenment of Buddha andhis entry into Nirvana. Monks will spend the day chantingthe sutras while devotees visit the temples to pray,meditate and to make their offerings.
Acts of generosity known as dana are alsoobserved including the freeing of caged birds &animals and giving alms to the poor & needy.
So, as Vesak Day kicks in, let us wishall our buddhists friends and readersout there, a Happy Vesak Day.

We're 6 Months Today!

LET'S CELEBRATE!

Remember the time when we barely knew each other's name? We were just mere acquaintances, nothing more. Yet, who knew that a couple of months later, fate has intertwined 20 people into a story that breathes life and amazing wonderment!

It's the 11th of september and Just The Clique is on its halfway mark to it's first year anniversary!

6 months may not be much, it may just be another number; a period of time, but then again, when we think through of all the wonderful memories these 6 months have given us, it proves to each and everyone of us that this friendship is worth it and I know that the bond that we share is greater than ever before.

I hope we will all continue to make this clique a wonderful experience for all of us and eventually carry them on in our memories for the rest of our lives!

I just want to say thank you to all of you for your continous support, belief, contribution as well as your participation in this clique and I do hope for many more years of fun and laughter with Just The Clique ;)
