It's FRIDAY AFTERNOON and the White Wash Party is well, officially over! A brand new day but hey, let's recollect the memorable event that took place just only a couple hours back.
Thursday, September 6, definitely one of the more busier and frantic days the Clique has experienced so far. With so little time to prepare for the evening's event, everyone was panicking and we were all like miniscule ants scrawling over a gargantuan hot stove!
The room had to be prepared, all the mess had to be cleared up and the floor to be cushioned to accommodate all of us. It was such a huge task to be carried out that we weren't sure whether we would be ready by seven that evening.
Meanwhile outside, the balcony was being decorated lavishly with ornaments and candles. Thanks Wan Hua & Serene for the creativity and effort that you guys put for this. It didn't look much in the evening sky but once night fell, the balcony was just plain magical.
Anyway, I just want to say that even with the short time frame that was allowed to us, I'm so glad that with everyone's contributions, be it big or small, it ensured the success of yesterday's event (although there were the inevitable bumps along the way)!
THANK YOU GUYS!
We had a potluck for dinner, where everyone had to bring a dish along and this in turn, revealed several undiscovered talents of some of the guys. Anavil prepared a spread of sumptuous Thai cuisine to satisfy our palettes and Zach even conjured up a fantastic potato goulash, his very own recipe! It didn’t look much but it sure was tantalizing!
There were donuts, strawberries with chocolates, garlic prawns & pasta among other delicacies available that evening. Being pigs with bottomless pits, a few of us started to flock to the dining table and soon everyone was having dinner together.
It was the first time that more than 3/4 of the clique had dinner together. I had a great time myself and I guess everyone did. We caused a huge ruckus at the dining table. Haha.
Here are some beautiful shots of the clique at the dining table...
... and some candid shots too!
After dinner, we adjourned upstairs to my room. A few of the guys began filming for the Channel Clique! Sitcom while a few others were practicing for Subtle's upcoming gig at Ben 'n' Jerry's this coming weekend. The rest of the clique simply mingled around with one another. It was just nice catching up with everyone else. It’s been ages since I last saw a few of them.
Here are some shots of the filming scenes!
I also captured a few photos of our talented musicians!
I've also got a few more other random and plain candid shots!
Much later at night, we sort of had a meeting (the very first one actually) to address issues with regards to the clique. All of us wrote on a piece of paper on how we felt about the clique and find ways to make it a much better circle of friends. The pieces of papers which were anonymous were then sealed in a chest box and later read out by Derek to the entire clique.
We also sorted out issues among members and I had to say, at the end of the night, we were all feeling much more bonded than before. Thank you all for your genuine participation because I had initial reservations of how ridiculous this meeting could have been.
We all went back to our activities while a few of the guys had to leave as it was getting very late.
After we sort of pooped ourselves out, we all retreated back into my room, huddled in a massive pile of pillows and blankets watching Resident Evil: Apocalypse. By the time the movie ended it was almost dawn.
We all chatted a while more and then WHITE WASH PARTY was officially over as we all headed for Lala Land.
To end it off, Levin and I would like to thank each and every one of you once again for coming down last night for this special gathering. Thank you for the lovely presents that you made for us as well. We'll definitely place them somewhere visible for all to see.
Oh yes, I've almost forgotten! Let me leave you with several individual potraits of a couple of the guys and girls last night! Hope you like them ;)
To Anavil, Derek, Edison, Eric, Gary, Jane, Jovan, Louis, Matthew, Melvin, Monica, Nigel, Serene, Wan Hua and Zach, as well as Alvin, Dylan and Will, thank you all once again for attending last night's party and making it such a success!
CHEERIO!!
